Why “Just for today”

A 1921 essay.
A hard year.
A small app I built
so I could keep breathing.

I'm Raí. After a layoff hit harder than I expected, a Dale Carnegie course I was finishing handed me a book I'd normally turn face-down on the plane — How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.

Inside it was a poem from 1921. It starts: “Just for today I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle all my problems at once.”

Carnegie called it living in day-tight compartments. Twelve hours at a time. Don't carry yesterday. Don't borrow tomorrow.

This app is the smallest version of that I could make.
